Recently, "Show your..." or "Post your..." sytele threds that enrourage members to post their proud images under specific themes or topics have been popular. I like the idea but find sometimes a bit crumsy to find threads that have been left unposted for some time.
I do understand that the administrators try to keep the site simple and refrain from creating too many fora to avoid coufusion and agree with them. But wouldn't it be nice and handy to have a dedicated forum for the "Show your..." style threads?

I think what you wish already exists, Akira ! :)
When I want to find these threads, I just go to home, and then to Recent Work: Portfolios, Serial Threads & Themed Topics.
However, I admit the list is quite long now. ;)

Francis, thanks for commenting. Actually I found some threads were in other forums.
For example, "have you got a thing that can fly?" and "Do you have a stitched photo?" thread is in "Life, the Universe & Everything else" section:

And, as you say, the "Recent Work" is not a dedicated section for the "Show your..." style threads. Hence my humble suggestion.

I feel that "recent work" is the place to be...

Seen from the Admin side, the problem is that members ever so often put stuff in the "wrong" forum. Not deliberately, rather because any splitting into groups and categories will be open for interpretation. The risk of misplacement actually increases if forums increase in numbers and are more narrowly defined.
From time to time, we move threads to a more appropriate place. My sentiment is that this over time is the better practice. We do want a 'lean' site without undue proliferation of options.

Bjørn, that makes sens. Thanks for your concern.
