Title: Fishing Buddies
Post by: Longhiker on January 02, 2016, 05:28:22
The top hat the crabber is wearing seems like a statement that the steady moderate rain will not stand in his way. A good attitude for days like these. While the crabber sorts his catch, his fishing buddy waits for his share.

Nice shot.
The hat adds an air of Charles Dickens to the scene.
However, I think these two are only buddies until the gull steals his catch.

What a photo!
I thought it was taken in the 1920s :)

Great shot and matching B&W conversion.

In some areas of the world birds were catched with nets (fishing not hunting) - the buddyism might find an end in a second or so.
Very decisive moment.

I like the POV and the framing as well.

Thanks. It was a fun shot to get. The guy seemed oblivious to the constant downpour. I needed to shoot quick as my gear is really not suited for rain duty.
