I have been visiting my sister in England for xmas. It's nice that families meet up and spend valuable time together.
Today we went for stroll downtown London.
Here are mostly photos taken in and around the vicinity of Sloane Street and Sloane Square (wouldn't mind living in either at all) :)
It goes without saying that I did my best to make to make a few sharp ones 8)
Df + 85/1.4 AF-D

I like these a lot, Jakov, and they are very different to how most people would shoot in London.

Obviously you did !
Very colorful and creative series, bravo. :)
Francis.

A real 'Jakovesk' view. Impressive.
-
Apprevciate the imagese of your resourceful ideas!

Jakov - what a beautiful series! Great photographs.
First photo, I just love it for the composition, colors, framing, everything. You really have your unique ways (what's also known as "art") to draw viewer's interest! Same goes for second photo as well.
Third shot, not sure what that is but looks something beautiful. I really like the colour contrast.
Fourth shot - my favourite in this series. Very very colourful and the photo clearly says - it is a busy city!
Last one, very very creative. Love the colours and processing.
-
I fi d the third photo particularly pleasing Jakov. The color combination and swarm of details is very nice.

Nice images Jakov.
I especially like the 4th. A real "Jakov". Blurry, OOF and very pleasing. :D

Thank you David! It's nice to know that I am not like most people :)
Thank you Francis! Trying to be creative as much as possible :)
Thank you John! I'll take Jakovesque 8)
Thank you Akira! You have a way of saying nice things to me :)
Thank you Anirban! The first two were double exposures. It's always fun trying to merge two images into one. The third image was xmas decoration, with the tree branches as a background. I showed my daughter how I would make a photo while jumping. She rolled her eyes probably thinking here he goes again... The busy city 4th was just in front of me all day long during the xmas sales. I made a lot of "sharp" ones but it was no surprise that I liked this one the most. The 5th image was something that I was shooting all day. It doesn't happen often that you come across signs on the street for pedestrians telling you where to look. So I had to get an image of it, and was mixing it up with the cabs and double deckers. The red of the buss prevailed in the end.
Thanks Tristin! Xmas lights are sometimes nice to shoot just after dark.
Thank you Chris! The Df autofocus does work, evidently :)
And finally, it's a true pleasure to receive such nice comments from great photographers!
Yours, Jakov

Jakov, It's nice to see how you have fun with your camera 8)
Interesting images

Nice variations over a London theme, Jakov :D
You had control over the double takes too. Good on you.
-
Super photographic short story there Jakov. Perfect examples that the 85/1.4 is not for portraits only.
-
I like that you have a bit of reflective theme going on. Well done.
-
Thank you Armando! Fun with a camera is a must. I guess we all have fun taking pictures one way or the other :)
Thank you Bjørn! I am glad you like my London theme :)
Thank you Sten! Yes, the 85/1.4 is my one and only for a decade now. It is a hugely overlooked lens when you compare it to the let's say newly born 58/1.4. It could be that the focal length is a bit on the long side for everyday street shooting, but I am so used to it, that anything shorter doesn't rock my boat unless it's a fish-eye :)
Thank you Gary! There was a certain time when I shot only reflections :) (no reflections in this bunch though)

Love the colors and subject mixtures. All interesting, which is always a good thing.
