Title: First Maternity Shoot
Post by: greben on December 27, 2015, 03:15:38
This is an infrared image from my first ever maternity shoot. I think she has great veins.

The veins and tattoos are really nice. Which filter did you use?

I have a Nikon D90 converted with a 720nm filter.

I feel a bit more contrast would improve the image.

Digital infrared often needs a judicious boost of the middle tones and some darkening of the shadows, to avoid the often seen flat and dull rendition.

This image is actually quite good as far as tonaily is concerned, but still would benefit from a little more tone adjustment.

Thank you Anthony and Bjorn. I will play around a bit more.

Sweet, I would never have thought of doing something like this in IR.

Thanks Ron. Portraits were the reason I converted my cameras.
