I missed some sort of forum dramas to which I am happy to remain totally oblivious to but I do look forward to contributing whatever I can here in the future.
It is refreshing to see some recognisable names from the past whose work I admire and I shall attempt to digest some of the content and offer a comment or two along the way.
I have become a bit of portrait tragic these days and I attempt to portray people in differing styles according to their personalities, generally sans clothing and either outdoors in the local area or indoors in my humble ( too bloody small ) studio.
I am old and resist change to my own detriment a lot of the time so I remain unconverted, despite the best attempts of the evangelical mirrorless brigade, from Nikon DSLRs. That also ties me to Capture NX2, Win7 and other oldie worldy stuff but I do have a secret love affair with a Fuji X100s and Photo Ninja.
I have an evil sense of humour which has earned me endless rebukes from some of my subjects when they discover that I was exaggerating the height of the waves and the temperature of the resultant drenching as shown below in the linked sequence. Please excuse the poor handholding, there was a 30 knot Westerly and I was laughing a lot and thankfully I don't speak German otherwise my delicate ears may have been offended. ;D

Fun Andrew, I particularly like one of the ones where her face is showing in a gap in the water. The slide show was a bit fast for me to tell you which number ;) . So was she amused?
Cheers,
Tom
