Bob (F) - you surely have taken bird photography to a different level, a level that anyone will dare to reach. Respect!

The extremely unrealistic DR/lighting is not to my taste.  Composite image?

No, I meant DR/lighting.  I hope I did not come across as being cross!  While not my taste, I bet it would sell if you got it hung up at a cafe.  People love that kind of imagery.

Bob, quite striking images  :) .  I like them as images and you did not call it a bird image  :) .      I sometimes play around with PS and bird images but do not post on Forums.

I've recently sold quite a few bird images to a European NGO for use in brochures .  They buy them RAW and PP them with a team of experts.   I have a ton of good images with no, or lousy, backgrounds/surroundings.  The sent me some of the Photoshopped images.  Really well done except in one they put a very good Osprey, with fish, in front of some great mountains, blue sky and fluffy white clouds.   No such mountains in Goa and rarely get great blues and fluffy clouds.  I complained that it was very misleading to people looking at their Brochures.  We'll see if they buy more  ;) .

Just for fun and experimenting, great but you get so many great images as it is  ;D

If I did not know better, I would swear I had seen this owl somewhere else.  Liked it there as well, and I STILL think the sunset looks like the poster from The Endless Summer, one of my old-time favorite movies .....
