No fungus, no lugging the heavy gear around, no paying for the gear.....  what's not to like ;) and I think I shoot at some long distances ...

He should be named Nikonenko instead :D (the first 'o' in Kononenko is pronounced as a short 'u' as in 'cumbersome').

No mirrorless ? Isn't that the future ??

On a more serious note, where are the lens shades ....

Shooting from inside a dark dome he probably does not need them with respect to flare (port glass reflections more of a problem, and he need to get close to the ports), however I would be rather worried about the front elements of those free-floating objects! Also notice all those lenses attached to the wall, sticking out without their lens caps.

I'm puzzle when they show images shot outside the ISS

how do they operate the camera inside a casing, and wearing huge globes

Jakov, if you let me have some of the raw files every once in a while , I'm happy not taking your post

I am somewhat puzzled. Is your dream job:
1. to sit all day with your arms crossed, doing nothing?
2. to look all day at huge Nikon cameras and lenses?
3. to take photos of spacestationauts?
4. all of the above

;-)

All that gear ... But he seems to handle it all as if it's weightless.

I don't know if picking your nose is allowed in space.  Which, I guess, why this is all a "dream".

Does he have UV filter for protection in all his lenses? I mean, those might get hit by a meteorite.

Well, no filter could protect the lens against a meteorite.  So, a filter would make no difference anyway.

but a filter would protect lenses from jakov's finger after picking his nose

Nope, no filter could give that level of protection.  ;)

Hmm...the only difference I could see is whether Jakov's mucus is on the filter or the front element...

HA!, and no need for a tripod!
