Title: 42 and it's brothers and sisters
Post by: Thomas G on November 08, 2015, 23:10:45
“The answer to this is very simple. It was a joke. It had to be a number, an ordinary, smallish number, and I chose that one. Binary representations, base thirteen, Tibetan monks are all complete nonsense. I sat at my desk, stared into the garden and thought '42 will do'. I typed it out. End of story.” Douglas Adams (https://groups.google.com/forum/#!msg/alt.fan.douglas-adams/595nPukE-Jo/koaAJ3tPBtEJ)
Believe it or not but the thread comes to... conclusions.

Let's have some fun and show 'em numbers - any of the obscure type present in a certain type of literature will do.

This is supposed to be a real time update of the world population numbers, I did not notice any reductions so I suppose more people are being born than are passing away !

Jaques - this is a nice one. I like it due to it's screen pixelized graphic style.
Elsa - interesting. Much more new bikes than cars.

I extend the topic an hope it'd broaden the stream of photos:

Starting with the well known numbers we post photos of any number which comes with a story, a meaning or an afterglow of personal rememberance.
