Fons I like the b&w image - its really nice. The others are too grey looking for me
-
Natural light appears quite flat this time of the year, on the coast under gray overcast rainy..

I like the third one.
-
Fons you are right of course. Just because its overcast doesn't mean we have to stop shooting.
-
thanks for the critique Elsa and Jørgen ;D

I really like the b&w bikes
I was thinking the strand only needs a touch of color added by some people , and the you show the color images ... looks like a very nice place for a walk
-
thanks Armando

I also very much like #8 the ATB'ers in B&W. It's just that in the colour version the plane is more visible. Great shot!
-
thank you Hans

I like number 6 best so far.
The unconventional framing made me revisit it.
The drifting sand looks impressive. I'd fear that the gear got a blasting.
-
I like the color version. Interesting subject.
But the B&W version works even better in my opinion giving a feeling of depth. Also the clouds are more present, giving a dramatic atmosphere.

Thomas, the Df and the glass did take a beating from the sand, salt and the rain, at one point i had to unscrew the eyepiece to clear out the water.
And the body felt sticky.
thank you Francis

4, 5 and the bikers (bw and colour) would be outstanding if flashed (700ws or more)
the bikers in bw are anyhow great and i do not get the name of the painter who did no 2, 200 years before you - hm (2 ladies dressed in white with umbrellas....)

Why flash, Thomas?
Monet?

flash separates - it will only be reflected by the foregorund, all other light is lost in infinity.
With it you get strong colour, and adding a certain angle to the motiv you can intensify
its structure in that "grey" environment.
the artist, i think it was Kroyer (from Denmark)
