I am a big fan
-
Very nice Paco ,
really like the intense red background and the faint details in the shadows
do you have any more ?
-
i am a big fan too!
beautiful photo!
-
Yes, of course. I think this one is the most succesful and another one, similar but closer. Here we go...
-
And a few more for curiosity. Location is south of Spain. Still can be used... :)
-
the last one with the shoes is equally beautiful ;)
-
End of the night shot :)
-
I particulary like the last one, with the shoes, the tilted background and the implied diagonals. I like the rest also - the black images on the red background work really well for me.
Nice work!
-
great stuff and I like the "dirty" background particularly
thanks for sharing
-
I'm big fan of silhouette photos. First one is just beautiful if I've to pick one; all are nice photos of-course. Thanks for sharing, Paco!
-
Ooohhh Paco.great stuff!
the first one is the most eye catching for me, but i'm a bit distracted by the white/yellow dots behind her back.
The 2nd one is more mysterious.
As a series, it just breathes excitement and seduction to me. Great stuff.
For the full body shots, i would have liked it if the whole legs would have been silhouetted by the red bg.
-
Thank you all. I play with cleaning the background into pure red and a version with the white spots remuved and decided against it. Feel free to try. I also will have liked for the red wall to go all the way down for the full body shots, even try with jumps for that porpouse and lifting her on my own arms to no avail... It was fun to try anyway :)
-
Very nice!
I specifically like the second one for it's graphic novel style cut and framing.
IMHO it has an outstanding balance between red and dark areas.
-
....you don't have to put on the red light....
Roxanne....
Great idea for a thread topic
-
Big fan here too.
-
Thank you Thomas, Frank and Jørgen.
The original post means " I am big fan of silouettes", sorry if I wasn´t clear, and intended to star a topic. Then Armando asked for more... -Armando, it is your fault :)-
I will love for everyone to add some more images.

Here's something a little different as far as silhouettes go. This pool in Goodyear, Arizona, has great light at various times; the water just glows a rich aqua.
Nikon D800, AF-S 70-200/2.8 VR.

A very unusual sighting here, they normally fly 150km east of where I live.
-
Bruno, that is genius :o
-
You're way too kind, Jakov 😊. Thank you
-
How did you get them all lined up like that?
Now I know where Escher got his inspiration from :)
-
A very disciplined group, I guess, and they fly in V and passed almost just above my head.
A crop from another picture.
-
Unfcuking-believable!
Bruno, can you do me a favor and burn the sky in one these by exaggerating with the contrast. I would like to see one image with a completely white background, just like Escher :)
-
Sure but you'll have to wait a few days. I'm traveling now with only my work laptop and no pictures in it.
-
That's impressive!
-
Bruno, this is more or less what I had in mind...
Again, what a photo!!!
-
Bruno, you did it!!!

The country of origin for the film should be evident from various clues both location, names, and the alphabet.

Desert power silhouettes
-
Somehow the first ones resembles being given the finger, but thats my mind making those assumptions. The people and the powerlines is just great. The disconnection between the people and the connection represented by the power grid sums up the modern times.
-
Jaanco, the Saguaro against the city sprawl is a different take on the subject.
I hope this is a slightly different take on an overdone subject: Monument Valley, USA.
-
I can hear the dilligence coming Keith. Those silouettes are the wild, wild, west in my mind :)

Night sky with the planets Venus and Jupiter in conjunction as backdrop for the classic Saguaro shot.

Fons, like that multi-colored background. What is it?
Pluton, it is indeed a different take on Monument Valley. Not easy to find. (Monument Valley is so neat it is hard to get that tired of it, but it's always nice to come up with something unique.)
Bjorn, I really like the desert power one. The joshua tree or whatever encroaching on the side makes the photo without adding lots of clutter like having the ground included would. Transmission towers and power lines make neat subjects.
-
James as i remember this was taken during a multimedia event in 2011 in Eindhoven, a returning event every autumn.

Thank you very much, Akira.

Oak tree, from this morning's stroll
Yesterday I did some testing with the Nikkor-O 2.1cm/4 from early sixties on my Z6. Poor results by today's standards!
Today I put on my Df an ultra-wideangle lens which for unexplained reasons I haven't been using for 3 years: the IRIX Blackstone 11mm/4
Well, the sun (in the frame) did not flare, exept for a negligible red glitch, and small details are rendered even in the corners.
Will be doing more strolls around with this one...
Ciao from Massimo

Love the expression, the energy and the dynamics, Paco. Looks like hard work.
-
Thank you John. My main point of attention was the spectacular play of light and color on the water (sooc here). Then I saw the man living in that environment and couldn´t resist.

Winter is behind our backs

The interaction with the trees and their shadows work effectively here, Massimo. Great shot.

Totally agree!

Thanks to you all for the encouragement and appreciation!
I also like the small vineyard in the background on the L, where the contorted vines add a little touch -and balance- to the lineup up front!

Great use of the fishy, i love it!

Thank you Hans. I'm really enjoying the process of getting to know the way it works.

I thing this photo belongs mostly here than to the show birds theme :)
This is a very rush capture been inside the car I forgot to retract 200-500 to 500mm ;D
Bird gave me only one chance but at the end I thing this is “accidentally” beautiful

Thank you Fons, Akira.
We have been working hard for the past two days and there is more ahead. Very talented people: dancers, choreographers, musicians, visual artist, etc... A pleasure to work with.
This specific image is of one young talented female dancer from Madrid.
