Title: Bucarest

Since I spent my day working there, night shots were on the agenda. Df, Voigtländer 40/2.

Wow, that yellow pipe hits the eye!

Looks rather run down and seedy - hope you did not linger more than necessary.

I like the mix of different light sources.

A very contrasty city... Two streets further it deserved its former nickname "little Paris". A strange place, still suffering from the scars left by Ceaucescu. Not lively at night. On the other hand, working with IT specialists from there is a joy - high competence, no arrogance. I have only gathered positive experience with them over the years.

Technically, the Voigt is not the best night lens, but at f/4, there is no issue (except maybe the flare in the upper right). Postprocessed with DxO 10: the PRIME noise reduction plus a slight touch of D-lighting, and that's it.

Airy, as you say, there is an interesting (and somewhat painful) mixture of now and then.

I always wonder how the grafitti on the walls are stylistically similar all over the world.  Those in Bucarest seems to be no exception.

Great night mood Airy! The red in the lit room wants me to see a woman in a red dress...
There is a lot of history to be read from this scene.

Indeed, life stories and tribulations are hiding behind the walls, but the walls lay them bare. I dare say that I prefer that to raw concrete, despite the stereotypes mentioned by Akira. At least opne can be sure to find humans inside.

There are only two visible A/C devices, a sign that living standards are fairly low in these buildings (summer temperatures can get extreme).

interesting night scene

I really like the lighted room with the warm light contrasting vs the otherwise almost monochromatic outside, except for the yellow pipe
