This time of the year I go round checking the various aspen groves near Killin - the leaves are usually at their best in late October. This year they are late - there is still a lot of green, but the little mallard drake gave me an image anyway.

David, I like this image for its simplicity. The soft reflections of the Aspens make a great backdrop to show off the mallard.

Thanks, Hugh.
Your name interests me - do you know if you had forebears who came from Caithness or Sutherland in northern Scotland? I belong to Golspie in Sutherland, and Gunn was a very common surname, along with Mackay and Sutherland.
I believe the Gunn clan was one of Scotland's oldest and its origins are Viking; the name literally means "war". But you probably know far more than I do.
