She was very, very close - I could easily have reached out (thro' the open car window) - and touched her nose. At this distance the 28mm f2 AIS was not nearly wide enough to take in the full width of her horns, but there was no time to change a lens.
These Highlanders are gentle beasts, and shy - she moved away as soon as the shutter started clicking.
Bjørn - looks like she was shampooed in the not too distant past - perhaps she was in one of the agricultural shows held in late August.

Ha cool, a Scottish Highlander actually in Scotland.
I see them a lot here in the Netherlands but didn't see any when I was in Scotland, maybe better luck next time :)

hahaha Great Pics. The Dutch are so crazy with these Scottish Highlanders you can find them in the middle of the city.
