Title: Golden Canyon, Death Valley, California
Post by: Bill De Jager on October 12, 2015, 07:20:28
These are a couple of photos from a trip almost three years ago.  Both are heavily cropped.  The top of the crops are constrained by my intent of not showing the sky at all to create more of an enclosed feeling.

Very pleasant and realistic color processing.  I'll have to try a top hat the next time I visit the Mojave Desert.

The diagonal structure of the folded stone makes the picture, and the light has just the right direction to give accent to the figures

I prefer the first, it has more of 3D quality.

Thank you pluton, Frank, Darrell, and Anthony.  I was walking back down the canyon to my vehicle when I noticed that this particular spot provided a very nice shot as people passed by.
