Olivier - you suggested I should try a shot at my dawn location, lining up the flotsam, etc, with the hill, and using a longer lens. Here is my interpretation of that, and I like the result, but I also like shooting this scene -w-i-d-e- !

Thank you very much, I feel flattered that a talented person like you even considers my suggestions!
Of course the conditions are different from the other pictures of the same location, but I like what you have done.
The progressive superimposition of plans in the background (from left to right) is especially enjoyable.
You must feel fortunate to have such a location to return to so often.

Thank you both, Olivier and Akira.

Olivier - you flatter me too much. I live in a beautiful area and I have lots of time, being retired. Put those two things together and most photographers would shoot some nice images. And no-one is above advice, suggestions and occasional help; certainly, I am not.

what a neat photo, I like the mood, it sets well, only nit, a small one, but the stupid contrails can just kill a pic for me, but hey! a great pic.

Thanks, Darrell - I know lots of people don't like contrails tho' I generally don't mind them myself. Since they are not permanent features of a landscape - like mountains or lakes - it's possible to clone them out without ethical problems (!). I usually try to compose the image so that the contrail works within it; not always 100% successful.

We are only 50 miles or so from Glasgow airport, so depending on wind direction we sometimes get lots of them.
