Gary: "Horse & Hound" ---- you manage to pull the plug off anything.
California Dream Boy!
-
Jacques. just like my cat Bijou. She really knew how to handle me!
-
Elsa: the first one is exceptional. #2 and #3 are only textbook, which is still a compliment.
-
Gary that is a really great photo - I wouldnt have expected anything less.
Jacques - isnt it funny how much expression one can pull out of a cat. Beautiful cat !
-
.
Good start for this new thread !
All images are nice and I agree with Elsa : Elliot du Bengale is really beautiful.
I now introduce Sky, a female Dalmatian, my GF's dog... :)
-
beautiful Dalmatian - I had one before - as dumb as a door :)
-
Our Abyssinian is a serial killer, he is the best hunting tiger we ever had. Here he is only 5-6 months old, he did not kill the mouse himself. Our older cat caught it and gave it to him so he could play with it, and tune his instincts for hunting and killing. And he sure succeeded, the first summer (before he was one year) he caught more than 80 mice, several birds, and a weasel. And he also brought home an adult grouse. The bird was already dead, he found it in the forest behind our house and dragged it home, right into our living room. The bird was bigger than the cat!
-
And here is Martin and the mosquito.
Like almost all our cats, my sister brought him to us as a kitten. She was leader of the local Animal Rights organization, and frequently came to us with small kittens in her hand, telling us that if we didn't take care of it, they had to kill it. So of course we have had a lot of cats :)
-
Gorgeous
Cats are truly entertaining in a different way.
-
Cheesy ? Fine with me, I'm French. Keep on shooting.

Some cats are really self conscious... :-)

Or "Ma gueule", a weird name for a cat when you have to call him... :-) It's my second daughter's cat and he's a bit like the Abyssinian, a bird chaser when he's in the countryside !
He fathered kittens with Cacahuète that were all given to friends and family. But those I don't have to sit or keep :-)

??? Never heard of a "Motorbike" pooch. She's a Wheaten Terrier an Irish breed. Due to a significant difference in weather between the Green Isle and Golden California, we tend to keep Cookie in what is called a 'Puppy Cut', much shorter hair than you'll see the average show Wheaten.

Armando that is a beautiful dog!
Also your images are really good.
And yes - I do exactly the same with mine - it is great to have images of our animals - looking back over the years - obviously they pass on, but one never forgets the bond you had with them.
My previous boxer (age 15)
-
@ Armando- Good stuff ... Schnauzers are great.
@ Elsa- Good looking Boxer. Sad that he is gone. I suspect you and he had a great relationship and life. It is obvious that he's been photographed ... repeatedly ...

Here are Chai and Mocha, both lolling about as cats do.
They were supposed to be sisters, but have totally different sizes, shapes and fur. So who knows?
[1] Chai, shorthair tortoishell, 7 pounds, slim oriental body type and tilted eyes.
Chai likes to sleep in her little fleece bed under the table lamp.
[2] Mocha, medium-longhair calico with white tuxedo & mittens, 11 pounds, big and chunky with a very long tail.
Mocha has worn herself out stalking toys and playing in the packing paper.
[3] Mocha has very long whiskers and eye brows.
This a crop from a snapshot because she wouldn't let me get that close with a lens.

Nice topic and amazing shots ;)
Minoes is my oldest cat, she is now 11 years with me, after I picked her up in an animal shelter. She is cute, stubborn, eats everything, adores cucumber, mushrooms and paprika. And she purrs very very hard which is basically the only loud sound she can make.

Meet Sammy.

The youngest cat in the house is Puck. He is busy all day protecting his two older sisters ;)

I love this thread. I hope more will contribute.

Here is an example of a motorbike dog although it may not be what Jacques had in mind.
These are just some vacation snaps of a cool Westie who rides with his Person on her motorbike (or whatever that is called).

Salmy is 8 years now. She is very active, catching mouses and birds, climbing tree's like a monkey. And black. The photographer's nightmare. Forget Auto-Focus. Forget any Focus at all when it's dark...

As the saying goes - Black is beautiful
