A closer perspective of my wife taking in the Death Valley landscape.
A more distant view I've posted previously can be seen here http://nikongear.net/revival/index.php/topic,1573.0.html (http://nikongear.net/revival/index.php/topic,1573.0.html)

Good shot - and a great place for a photo shoot.

Is she saying: "no, not again!"

So cool! Love her posture and the whole setting, the low shooting height just works so well here

Lovely image - your wife certainly makes a great model.
From her scarf and her clothing, and the length of the shadows, I am guessing that it is early morning and that it is still quite cold. Correct?

Though I have plenty of photos of her with the look you're referring to, this is her blissed out by the surroundings look, apparently.

Thank you. We visited the park in late November when day time highs were in the 75-85 °F ( 25 °C +/-) range in the lower elevations of the park (Badwater, Furnace Creek), if I remember correctly. The Racetrack Playa, where this was taken, is relatively higher in elevation at 3608 feet (1130 m) and is quite windy. This picture was taken in early to mid afternoon. The wind was rather consistent and came across the playa brisk and chilly. I watched quite a few tumble weeds run the length of the playa. None of the rocks moved though ;)
