difficult to get something different to everyone else.
-
Elsa #1 and #3 for me, they are most blurry :)
Some have a not so creamy background so are far from my heart, unlike you :)
-
The first one has such an inner hamony, at first I felt drawn to think I see a Michael Erlewine...
I hope you take this as a compliment.

Thank you boyz
Jakov - i tried so hard but kept forgetting to get things out of focus. But I think Bjørn has several for you :-*
Frank - thank you for the compliment - much appreciated!
-
Hi Elsa, very nice. Numbers 1,3 and 6 for me.
Thanks for posting.
-
First shot has something special that really makes it stand out and makes for a perfect #1 for the series... the rest are fantastic...
-
Stunning stuff Elsa!
-
thanks guys for looking at my stuff ;)
-
You should stick to your portrait photography Elsa.
...and then do these shots to reach and share a higher level of serenity - excellent stuff!!
-
++++ very well done!
-
#1 is nothing less than stunning - love it! The others are great as well, but pales when compared to #1.
-
I absolutely agree with Joergen.
The execution is excellent in all of them, the colour combination in the first is delicious and unique.
-
1 and 4 for me. 4 might appear "overloaded" but I like the assorted blur, and the sharpness of the "main subject".
-
Very nice set. The relationship between the flowers and the background in the first one is fascinating.
-
I viewed the first image and thought ... wow, can't get better than that. Then #3 popped up and receded into nothingness ... double wow ... a low and soft double wow.
-
Thank you all once again.
As said - how does one do something different - blooming impossible really. The flowers are photographed to death each year - but I am pleased I managed some for myself too.
It was a trip to remember for a very long time.
-
and my final ones

Very nice series Elsa. I like all of them. #3 is my fav. Just love that creamy bokeh. Trip to remember indeed.
Are they seasonal flowers? I wonder how does the field look when they dry up.
-
Thank you Anirban
Yes these are seasonal - for about 2 months of the year - when they are at their best. It's called the Namaqua land flowers or West Coast flowers.
The rest of the year its dry and brown.
The flowers are visited by thousands of people each year and included in tours / safaris for overseas visitors. Its a big attraction to locals as well.

Beautiful images Elsa, especially #1 and #4 whose colours I really like. It must be quite a place for photography.
Which 300mm lens did you use? Was this your most used lens there?
-
Thanks Mikes
Its the older 300f4 - no VR and I paired it with a D3200 - the results surprised me since I usually shoot D800.
I did use this combination about 50% of the time.
-
Ah, but the best camera / lens is the one that you have with you. The first image is proof of that, is it not? ;D ;D ;D
Thanks Mikes

;D I had both bodies with me all the time.
But I do favour longer lenses above wider - so I kept migrating to that combination.
But that is about a long as I should go - longer is heavier and right now not an option for me.
-
#6 for me, the fly looking like an extension of the flower makes it very unusual.
