D7000, ISO400, 1/800 with Nikkor QC 200/4.0 at f11.

Interesting play of lines combined with a nice mood Akira, most intriguing however is "the man in the cloud" peaking over the edge flicking the peace sign.
No I haven't smoked anything but it is 5 o clock past midnight here in the NL :)
-
Thanks, Jan. Yeah, it looks like the peace sign. I like the characteristic rendition of the old long Nikkors which I believe is part of the atmosphere.
-
This is wonderful.
-
Thanks, Jørgen!
-
Akira, this is romantically electrifying :)
-
Jakov, thanks for kind words.

Graphic, strong, almost brutal; I like this because it is a dawn without romanticism. And I'm glad you were not tempted to clone out the bird.
-
Dave, I'm glad to know that you apparently had the impression which is almost opposit the ones of the others. It might indicate that I have somewhat succeeded. To create images that can be interpreted in various ways is my goal.
And, no, I never thought about cloning out the bird. In fact, I had shot the same image without the bird about a second earlier, but the moment I sensed the bird was going to fly in, I knew that it would complete the image. The bird gave a nice tension to it.

It's a very good combination Akira. Between the 'softness of the sunset' and the machinery of mankind. I like it.
-
John, thanks for the comment. Yes, that was an important part of the image. Glad you sensed that!

I sense Tepco at work...

I sense Tepco at work...
Ah, yes, Tepco still have the power, both electrically and politically...
