While I like the open feeling of the landscape, the somewhat darkend top part seems to detract the entire mood a little.  I wonder if it was caused by the vignetting of the lens (suppose it is a stitched pano)?

Nice pano ... I think a solitary ship/boat would make the scene more personal and romantic.

It is possible I used a bit too much of a gradient on it.  I don't have the raw file nearby to check.

That's an interesting idea.  There is a lot of boat traffic there, but it might be possible for someone to catch it so the others could be neatly cloned out.
