Big cars and corners. Sooner or later, something's going to happen...

A Batmobile! I'd paint it black. Details Peter, who, where, what, when and why?

Nice shot - love the rocks and stones element.

Is it a 1958 Dodge or Plymouth?

Indeed! ;)

I would crop it right to avoid the red thing and the top and then the bottom to make it look in proportion :)

I miss fins on cars.

Unfortunately my excellent forgettery has dropped me here.

Early every year there is a big classic racing event at Zwartkops Raceway west of Pretoria. It is the only event on the SA racing calendar where one can be reasonably sure of seeing some "international talent".

This year the date was the 31st of January, but unfortunately I don't remember what car it is or who the driver was.

No. 43 is probably a 1959 DeSoto. The front end is for sure. The fins don't look quite right to me. Number 43 was the traditional number of Richard Petty. Richard Petty was a hard driver who often broke down or won. At least that's what I remember. He was kind of the Babe Ruth of American grand national stock car racing. Richard Petty was nicknamed The King as he won many races.

My favorite driver was Dan Gurney. In high school arguments I was die hard Ford.

The fins are Plymouth, I'm pretty sure.  The front end looks more like a DeSoto, but I imagine that since they used the same chassis, the clips were pretty much interchangeable.

I was wondering if the front end of the car was replaced. The car may be a Plymouth with a DeSoto front end. It looks good: I want one!

Dave

I poked around the net and this is what I came up with: it's a 1959 Plymouth with a 1959 Desoto front end.
