Title: 14.3 mm Fisheye at Ebay
Post by: MEPER on November 02, 2025, 00:10:07
Has this Nikkor Fisheye ever been discussed in this forum?

Seems the seller is open for an offer.

At the astronomical asking price, any reduction would be welcome :)

Seriously, what a load of nonsense the seller makes in their description. f/4  "is" f/2.8 etc.

The f/4 vs f/2.8 nonsense is where the writes that f/2.8 in 35mm format correspond to f/4 in 70mm format?
Maybe he means that the challenge is the same (f/2.8 in 35mm format vs. f/4 in 70mm format)?

f/2.8 can never be f/4. Such basic concepts should never be confused.

As far as I recall, Nikon made different behemoth Fisheyes for IMax projects. There was a 17.3(?)mm Fisheye as well. Plus something similar for sky observations.
