Does anybody know what the distance 110.37 mm refers to?
Zeiss Ikon made this Beam compass back in time and maybe the 110.37 mm is related to some photographic stuff?
https://www.ebay.de/itm/136536070782?mkevt=1&mkcid=1&mkrid=707-53477-19255-0&campid=5338722076&customid=&toolid=10050 (https://www.ebay.de/itm/136536070782?mkevt=1&mkcid=1&mkrid=707-53477-19255-0&campid=5338722076&customid=&toolid=10050)
The metal scale has 110.37 mm as exact measurement and I assume the beam compass takes this exact measure and transfer it to be used for maybe a film plane to object distance or something related?

Think problem is solved. Nothing to do with photography but with "ballistics" it seems.

Maybe Zeiss Ikon was involved in some military stuff also or the beam compass is not a Zeiss Ikon as advertised.

But Zeiss Ikon patented a "bullet measurement" device so probably the ebay advertisement is correct:

But not much to do with photography.
Zeiss Ikon made a lot of other stuff it seems.
