I had an F4 briefly that was part of a package purchase of some lenses.  I sold it but the controls on that thing were SO satisfying to use.

It was indeed an extremely satisfying tool to use, only issue I ever had was with the F4e, my palm would trigger the vertical shutter release button when I first got the camera, when lowering the camera down after shooting, cost me some frames from time to time,,,  :o
The F5 was just as nice and an obvious successor, just as nice to shoot with  8)

One of my favourite Nikon cameras. I still run a roll of B&W film through it occasionally
