that is so true. I hauled the 180-600mm around

In a Biologist's home there are are many species. This specimen was found doing its morning workout on a Z-mount APO Lanthar 65mm and I took it with an adapted 125mm of the same family with the Zf. 300% crop below. It is a white mite that probably entered the premesis on one of the plants pictured in the third file attached.

As a gesture and friendly greeting for Paco, a larva of the small fly Hydrellia cf. albilabris made its mining corridor in a frond of the Greater Duckweed Spirodela polyrhiza as the number "13". The larva had no writing education thus the digits are sketched in a crude manner, but still readable (?) This is the best it could do.

the wandering active colorful guy is on the road and active since 19 July. There has to be washing at some point.
Speaking of wandering he found an ambulant slime mold in Birna's backyard and took a picture before it could escape.

today Birna sent me to town with a puzzeld puzzling lens that was accidentally assembled in a way that did not allow for focussing to infinity. With all of its other 'features' it resembled more of an effect filter so I tried to use it 'effectively' ...

Frank is touring down town Oslo again, whilst I'm recovering from yesterday's tribulations. Slowly preparing for the new mount for my X-ray lenses that will arrive later this autumn.
So, Rodenstock TV-Heligon 50mm f/0.75 on my tiny Z30, proving this lens can reach infinity fous. The confer-covered hilltop is approx. 7 km away. On the full sized original, I can see the individual trees and larger branches.

-
Some of Ruth's potato plants still flower. Again, Rodenstock 50/0.75 on Z30. Not easy to nail focus on moving plants in strong wind with depth off field in the mm-range and no viewfinder. I do hope the new mount can be adapted to Zf/Zfc to alleviate that issue.

Warning is warranted. People have broken their neck here due to the water being much shallower than expected.

Playground by Voigt 15mm f/4.5 SL on Z30
-
Apart from having a good time with a fellow NG member and supporter, our discussions and experiments during the week of Frank's visit, manifested itself like the setup below.
Z30 with the old, yet super capable, Voigtländer 15mm f/4.5 SL wide-angle lens. I added the 'finder' from my Skopar 21mm f/4 lens, as its coverage is about correct for 15mm on the DX format camera. A bit of tape and superglue ensure the finder stays put.
The solution is eerily similar to my black Nikon S3 with 21mm f/4 Nikkor which I used extensively in the '80s. But now it's digital, has a completely silent shutter, can use higher ISO, and will record GPS if that feature is set up [Snapbridge to the rescue, Foolography is not useful and current version is a disaster].
However, the "feeling" and ways of using the camera is identical.

I am a happy person!!!!
Well, I got mine (which used to be yours) quicker than I had expected :) leaving a dent in my banking account ....
Of course happy on your behalf. It's a very nice lens once its quirks are sorted out.
-
I finally came to the need for adjusting the focusing accuracy on the F-Z adapter dedicated to the Voigtländer 15mm f/4.5 SL. This because the adapter, a sturdy Fotasy design, like almost all third-party adapters makes the lens focus a smidgen beyond infinity. Hardly worth bothering - or even noticeable - for most lenses, however, for the quite short focal length 15mm of the Voigtländer lens, it meant besides moving the near focus about 10cm further away also that the scale focusing wasn't accurate enough when the wider apertures were selected. The ability to focus beyond the Moon was not very useful in real life either :)
The adjustment amount required was very tiny and I ended up using the "Leica" approach, meaning using tiny pieces of waxed paper for shimming. Now, focus by scale is spot on and I can forego the use of the rear monitor on the Z30, which anyway often is useless in many bright shooting situations. Better rotate the rear panel of the camera to a closed position, which helps making the outfit even sturdier and less susceptible to knocks and bumps.

... speaking about dents in the bank account: Using your 15mm Voigtländer increased my longing for the current 15mm Super Wide Heliar for Z. And because it cannot be bought in Germany at all I got it from Japan for 709€ used as new

We should call it quits then.
