In case you did not notice it already, there is a new social network kind of app that recently came out of beta.https://fotoapp.co/. Foto is photography only, no crop, no video, no pub, no algorithm, fremium model. It is mobile only, with a desktop app in the future. It only shows who you follow, showing the posts in strict sequential order.
I like it, it is what I whish Instagram should be and looks to me like what a new forum model could be. You can find me as bschroder there

Interesting Bruno

Interesting Bruno. I downloaded the app, but the conformation mail for being active in the app is not sent...

Has anyone else had a play with this app?
I'm enjoying the range of subjects i see there.
Still a little confused on the User Interface:
Choosing Home seems to give me an unchanging selection of previously seen images.
Only if i "Search" do i see new stuff
-
I like its simplicity, the fact you don't see the likes on a picture, except yours, also the simple click to view large. Limiting factors for me are smartphone only (a PC version is scheduled but not yet available) and only one picture per post. Non English speakers told me they would like a cut and paste from a post to input in a translator.
All in all, I like it. For me it is what a photo app should be. I'll continue to use it.
Choosing Home gives you the posts made by those you follow, and only that. If they don't post, you don't get new stuff. To get other pictures, you must either search using one of the tags or using the @name. It works fine here.

A click on the search icon gives the general time-line.

thx for sharing, I´ve opened an account, but not yet been further

Yes John, that's what i do.
Bruno's explanation makes sense and yes, the people I've "followed" haven't pisted much since, so i think the design would benefit from a change.
But i like it more than other photo sharing sites I've seen over the years
