Title: My UV-Nikkor 105mm finally at work again...
Post by: Dr Klaus Schmitt on June 26, 2022, 17:14:46
My "work horse" lens at work again after quite a break....

A Rudbeckia hirta from my balcony shot with the trusted UV-Nikkor 4.5/105mm at f11 using a modified Xenon Studio flash as well as some special filters.

Welcome back, Klaus!  I'm curious about what you have found lately with your seemingly well-seasoned setup.

The lens is such a great performer in seemingly all wavelengths, extremely well defined images, even in this web representation!

Yep, indeed Erik, cannot agree more. Hence why I always have several here, down to just two now...  ;)

These should be printed big and shown in a top gallery: much better aesthetically than most of what is shown normally and with real scientific value too. Thanks for sharing these beauties.

Who did the printing of the images?
It is ink on paper?
Was it perfect first time? :-)

Btw.this is PORTULACA in human vision, reflected UV, sim. bee  and butterfly vision (left to right, top to bottom) shot with same UV-Nikkor 105mm lens + studio flash; pretty plant but its leafs also tastes rather fresh in a salad ;)
