Title: Moses Bridge
Post by: Jakov Minić on August 09, 2015, 18:54:47
Today, Smusesuse and I were getting ready for the photo gathering in the Black Forrest.
We decided to try out some gear and to visit the Moses Bridge in the south of NL.

I am extremely happy with the 180/2.8 ED I recently acquired :)
The Df was also accompanied with the 105/2.5, 45/2.8, and 16/3.5 fish-eye. I think my kit is ready for the Schwarzwald Clinic 8)

You have acquired a nice red-head model there, Jakov :D

I see that the bridge is located in an area of brackish or salt-influenced water?

The red-head is constantly getting in the way of my shots.
Whenever I pick up the camera, there she is ruining the shot... I'm going mad...  ::)
I even submerged the AW1 and guess what happened?

Yes, we were close to the sea, so I suppose the water could be salty. Then again, all water is interconnected in NL.

How nice - Suse and Elodea nuttalli (Narrow-leaved Canadian Pondweed).

The fortress (Halsteren) is an area which can be inundated with salt or sweet water   http://www.vriendenwbwl.nl/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=6&Itemid=4 (http://www.vriendenwbwl.nl/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=6&Itemid=4)

Great pics by the way, Jakov  ;)

I wasn't all too happy with my pictures of today but I'd like to post at least this one.

All evolution starts there.

Speaking of evolution:

The 180/2.8 is surely becoming one of my favorite lenses.
It's magical in IR too! It actually needs to be softened even with an old and worn out body of the D200 :)

Have I ever expressed how pleased I was with the 180/2.8 AIS ED?
The images just punch you in the face...
This is Smusesuse humbly approaching Moses :)

Moses is a bridge? For a minute there I thought you meant Moses in the Bulrushes when you wrote 'humbly approaching Moses', but I couldn't see him.

These are interesting fotos, Jakov, with this Detail styling.
The third pondweed shot is very interesting, a good one.
I also quite like the first shot.

Awesome shots Jakovic, actually been to that  place during a two day hike, very nice area which you captured very nicely.

Though I did stick my flashlight in the water it was a poor supplement for a waterproof camera like your AW1 :)

Great series of images!

And congratulations on the re acquisition/merger

We all need to go there, but that was decided long ago... so nobody remembers...

Yes I'm nobody...  ::)

The first two are excellent shots, I like the colors.
