hi everyone!

happy to join this forum. hoping to read up on all the Nikon gear there is, but especially anything on the great rangefinders and related gear Nikon once made.

I do have a Nikon rangefinder with builtin VR which can accurately measure ranges of hundreds of meters but I assume you mean the other kind of rangefinder which can take pictures :)

Honestly, it doesn't matter. There are other sites on the net where it does matter though  :-X

i didn't know Nikon made that kind of rangefinder! but your assumption was correct.

don't worry! i'm regularly using my S2 rangefinder, and a Micro Nikkor 55mm f/3.5 (on my digital Canon  :-X) comes in handy for product photography. there's an FTn on the shelf which still has a roll to fill. next to that is a very nice black F2 DE-1 that was being used often, but is now collecting dust, i have to admit...
