Here a few images from Norway Bergen Summer 2015
First is Voigtlander 12mm f/5.6 Leica LTM mount on Leica M9 a tiny but fun lens to shoot, 12mm on a full frame camera is very very wide and thus very challenging since the corners get stretched out so much it's almost unbelievable....
Here buildings at; Bryggen downtown Bergen along the old harbor front.

Next up is the 75mm Summarit 2.4 It really pulls together the framing of the house facades making it look cramped and intence
Second image was believe it or not planned already on the flight to Bergen, it was inspired by a very similar shot of a house reflection in a tuba, so when i head that the brass-band had moved closer to the facades I was quickly on the hunt to find them, added bonus was the reflection of the face was eacy to include withe the 75mm 2.4 up really close ;)

I prefer the colour versions.

Looks like a fun place. I really like your bonus shot.

Here my host in Bergen, Petter, arriving in style to pick me up for the boat ride ;)
And a distant shot directly into the sun, the coating has no problem suppressing ghost and flare and even faint smoke from a fire is rendered very truthful.
Both shot with 75mm 2.4
-
Typical 'Skærgårds' image, really idyllic cottages on the small islands, first gave a perfect framing with the 75mm 2.4 again.'
Second image is of the real estate of Bergen shot with 50mm 1.4 Summilux stopped down to f/5.6 the whole frame is crisp and colorful.

I prefer the colour versions.
Thanks :)
I also like it colorfull, but at 12mm the sensor is over it's limit for 'issues' in the corners so a B&W version is much cleaner...

It always pays off to be prepared with some ideas up the sleeve... ;)

The tuba shot is superb! Literally well done, Erik!

+1 on the tuba shot

I don't see the photographs when I look at these images ... I see a place I want to be.

Impressive yes, I agree with Gary. You can nearly smell the atmosphere ;)

Thanks, appreciated ;)
Interesting that you can create a similar atmosphere with a 12mm and a 75mm, the buildings... just by framing - positioning...

.
Stunning serie !
I particularly like the #2, #3 (my fav) and the Skaergård image + the pic of the tuba with the refection inside !).
Beautiful town. A place to visit, taking its time having a drink and enjoying the atmosphere. 8)
Next up is the 75mm Summarit 2.4 It really pulls together the framing of the house facades making it look cramped and intence
Indeed !
Thanks for sharing, Francis

Ah, I remember how El Presidente roamed through that harbor.
We were drinking Carlsberg and making crazy photos.
Lovely memories, to be repeated!
