Title: Linnaea borealis
Post by: Björn Carlén on August 07, 2015, 22:48:38
I'm curious as to what you have to say about this shot of the Linnaea. Through the kind of bokeh present, I wanted to create the impression that the carpet of Linnaeae (or whatever the plural is) continues forever.

You could get more flowers in focus stopping down, but to the detriment of the bokeh. (although you can still get a pleasant bokeh @f/4 depending the lens)

Endless dilemma ! ::)

And you could take several pictures of the same subject with different f/stops and compare the results.Tripod needed, BTW... ;)

The only way to obtain both creamy bokeh and improved DOF, it's focus stacking. Have look on Michael Erlewine work.

Thanks! I'll check out the work of Erlewine.
