Title: Young man in little Havana
Post by: The_Traveler on August 05, 2021, 00:13:50
(We split our life between two locations and thus I have been amazingly busy.
My partner is now away for a week or so and I am attempting to catch up.
Just installed a new wifi like that helps with everything and am resolved both to shoot more and to work on my backlog of images.)

This is from a trip in 2019 to Havana.

I like the way you contained lots of intriguing element in such a simplistic composition.  Thank you for the inspiration.

Thank you.
I was intrigues at the happy accident of the yellow reflection on the brake disc of the motorcycle that ties it into photo.

The Confucius quote is exactly on the mark, imo.

Oh, you are right!  Actually, I wondered how the clean-looking motorbike fits with other, rather worn-out environment.  Perhaps his youth is also related to the look of the motorbike.

The motorcycle with its typical long travel front suspension - to cope with bad Eastern Bloc roads - looks like an (East-)German made two-stroke MZ. Back in 1977 I had driving lessons on one of these. I guess this one is post 1989 as it has a disc brake, iirc East-German ones had drum brakes. Nice image.
