That you for posting!
Dave
I wanted a 35mm f/1.4 AIS for years but never bought one.
-
Love the last set of the two!

Thank you. This is the 7 bladed ai version the ais comes with 9 blades.
If i am correct the ais is still in production.
As a contrast a picture with 35mm f/1.8s,

I'll never got tired of those 35/1.4 shots. By the way, this lens is missing from my collection. The new price is ridiculously high. Second hand, maybe.
-
Thank you Airy, new price is similar to the nikkor afs35mm f/1.4g., the ZF 35mm f/1.4 is also an option but large and heavy.

Beautiful shots Fons. I too always wanted this lens as
well and found one in mint condition for $300 Canadian and tested it against the new 351.4 AFS lens and my lens was
sharper at F 2 than the new lens. So I gave my old 35 F2 Ais lens to my son and he loves that lens. We both prefer that focal length for normal shooting and tend to use our legs to zoom. The 1.4 Ais also handles flair really well. The Bokeh on your shots really demonstrate a nice effect on close ups as well. Regards Gerry
