Simone the Italian from England
« on: June 13, 2015, 22:34:12 »
Just to be sure those who know me understand who I am....

Also known with my username simato73, the same used on the old Nikongear/Fotozones.

My real name is Simone Tomasi, I am Italian and live in Cheshire in England.
Not a photographer by profession, and even as a hobby not dedicating to it as much time as I would like...

Simone, I look forward to seeing your images here soon !   Funny, my Liverpudian wife is flying to visit a friend in Rome in about 18 hours and then on to the Wirral for a few weeks.   Cheshire is a nice spot to live  :) .
Cheers,
Tom

Yes Cheshire is a nice place to live, however not as sunny and bright as back home.
I have just returned from a 10-day holiday in Southern Italy (not my birthplace, I am from Tuscany) and I already miss the sunny days and 30-degree average day temperature. Here it is grey and and paltry 13 degrees.
I guess you cannot have everything all the time... Cheshire is very different from the Mediterranean and I am glad I can spend some time in both places.

And where are you originally from?

Simone, originally grew up in Southern California but have not lived in US since 1968.  I've lived just about every place else.  Tuscany has been on my list forever but yet to make it. My wife and I were making preparations to move to Taormina,  from London, in 1996-97 but wound up in Goa.... don't ask  ;) .
Cheers,
Tom
