Ian, the lens seems to be a pleasant surprise.  These images are amazing!

Thank you Akira. Yes the lens is suprinsingly good. However I do see that it is made in Japan and was expensive when new so it was not a throwaway kit lens.

It performs well on the Z6 and is very light too.

According to the illustrations the 20-60 does have the very narrow focusing collar in front -- wouldn't that impair handling to some extent?

Yes, a little - but its very easy to turn on the plus side. Also by adding the HN-1 you can turn that too (which is what I did).
