The current view from my work place ...

Icicles

Zoom-Nikkor 50-300mm f/4.5, Z6 (hand-held). Light is very flat (dull overcast skies) so it's a miracle any details are preserved within the ice itself.

Coconut picking and tree chopping - over here, half a metre of fresh snow dumped during last night. We live in parallel worlds.
Yup,  ;D, my grown daughter was here a couple of weeks ago.  She has been back in Denver for about 10 days and her photos are more like yours.

NPS Cologne declared incompetence concerning the 2/200VR and forwarded it to NPS Düsseldorf. While Cologne said cost could be up to 1700€, Düsseldorf said that probably the lens sat idle on a shelve for too long and a free check & clean will probably do the job to revitalize the AF and VR motors...

Not having adequate time to attend the discussions here I am building up a huge load of guilt.
This is a pic made with the dreadful 43-86 (@86mm) in front of my Z6.

What a 'dreadful' lens that 43-86 zoom is ...

A sudden increase in temperature made the recent snow fall starting to melt away. The railing on my porch is a convenient spot to test the rendition of the 100mm f/1.6 XR-Rodenstock on the Z camera, by the way. The lens clearly has excellent flatness of field and acutance, but little depth of field (as expected).
