Thanks for the link !

I would get up early to try some pics, but BBC weather says it'll be ''cloudy'' here in Hampshire, so better to stay in bed... :P

The same type of weather applies to Copenhagen, so I will stay in bed ;)
Last the blood moon was also covered in clouds  :(

Equipment ready. Problable cloud coverage: 87%. But I’m an early bird and I can take the picture from my bedroom...

If your bed is near the window, you could even take pictures cosily from your bed... ;D :P

Equipment has been prepared, plans made (Stellarium is your friend), and a suitable nearby site identified. However it looks uncertain with respect to cloud cover and transparency - hope it clears up sooner than predicted - never give up. At least timing in early evening is very comfortable for Alaska.

Very cool, Christian! I passed that link on to my friend that loves to shoot the heavens.  :)

Øivind,
I'm planning to have the camera on the tracker, as the eclipse gets closer to totality the moons gets very dim, I'm not sure it's going to work but I'll try
In my neck of the woods total eclipse is closer to 11pm, also it is 70° degrees up in the sky, as much as I would like to include some foreground - say a building or a tree - the building or tree would look very big in relation to the moon

Total eclipse from my place (Geneva CH) starts at 21 January 2019, 5:42 (GMT+1] to 6:44. It’s peak is at 06:13 at azimut 278.7 and elevation 19.29.

I'm going to give it a try. The equipment is ready in the hall, warm clothes on the chair. Now hoping the weather will be clear, it's not sure yet.
If not I'll sleep within a few minutes. :D

Way too cold here -- tonight it's dropping well below -20C. My lungs cannot stand that kind of cold air any longer. Best wishes for happy encounters with the Moon for those of you trying :D

Sounds like Birna is more sensible cautious than Bjørn!  ;D

I am all set, it's mild here, little wind, snow on the tops above ~800ft  sky is currently clear.

Just a flask to fill and I'm away.
