The serious portraiture (#1) looks great.  I wonder why the under part of his chin looks cut out, though...

#2 is absolutely phenomenal!  Again, the art of timing and shutter speed!

I see.  Maybe you could raise the dark area to appear the collar ever-so-slightly visible?

The light is so low that recovery is of very poor quality… I tried :(

I like the edit of #1 with just the outline visible
