Could you enlighten me Birna, on the color respons of the vegetation. Is it possible to assess the "stress" level of the plants by looking at color saturation when using the IR chrome filter or is it only helpful as a pictorial tool?

Robert, Google is a friend (sometimes).  Searching with "IR chrome filter" yields much info.

My idea of a search term rarely coincides with Googles!

I was just hoping for an original locator, yes I found the Kolari site, seems scant info there and their pricing structure is peculiar in the extreme.  Will just keep an eye on the thread.

The original IE film was indeed applied to such studies you mention. My main purpose back then was mapping and identification of aquatic and wetland vegetation. No idea what the newfangled filter will allow, though. I need to have it in hand so to speak.
