Great article! Is the build similar to the AIS 50/1.8 ? (compact version for Japanses market). Externally the two are very similar except for the AIS has a metal aperture ring, better coatings and focuses closer.

the Nikkor versions are much better in terms of build. all-metal and better coatings.
theres also another person at fb who commented on my wall that he had the same findings that the E flares/ghosts easily compared to the Nikkor  ::)

Yes indeed, it looks like the design job was low budget also on the inside,,,  :o  all the E lenses are a bit strange inside,,,

PS So funny with the Danish connection to Kenneth Olsen, I have talked with him a couple of times, really nice and skilled guy! He used to work at Oneofmanycameras here in Copenhagen  ;D 8)
