usually I disregard high contrast light sources in food shots, but for both of these scenes high contrast works very well! Exceptional in many meanings.

How far south do you live to yield such a contrast in this time of the year or did you help in post?

I am in the Graz area in the south of Austria… nothing special!
Mind you, we enjoy a mild micro-climate good for wine growing.

I pride myself in rendering without ever using extra sharpening,
contrast, saturation, vibrance (that does not exist in my RAW
converter) for the most realistic and natural images.
