Isn't it a re-housing of a Noct-Nikkor Ais inside a new barrel,,,

I found the suggestion that there are counterfeit Ai 58mm Nocts floating around intriguing.

i also read that comment about sourcing counterfeit Nocts interesting. the maker probably just wants to make the NOCT sound like its a difficult to source optic and people were out to make fakes.  :o :o :o

Perhaps one could "fake" a Noct by altering the 55/1.2. However that certainly involves some intricate operations plus making a convincing engraving of a new front ring to display the new lens data.

However, shoot a night scene and the difference to the real Noct will be obvious.

If fakes really existed, I think we would probably have heard of them via the web photo community by now.  Faking an entire, fuctional, authentic-looking Noct barrel would be expensive, however.. it would be economical for the presumed crooks to take an old 55/1.2 Ai Nikkor and fit a fake Noct bezel to the front.

Zeiss/Leica fakes are easier for early lenses and cameras since they were also produced "under license" by the CCCP :o :o :o

one needs to be very careful with it

its re-housing. you mount the opical cell in a new lens tubus with  longer focus throw and closer focus. For film, movie  making.  8)
