Later that night, Erik took on the challenge of converting an ancient Piersker 400 mm f/4.5 from the early '50s to F-mount. The tripod mount also was in need of a repair.

Trust Erik. Here is the lens, complete with CPU (of course) on my UV camera, a modified Nikon D3200 fitted with internal Baader U "Venus" filter.

Wow, intriguing images, Erik!

Which lens did you use for the last image?

Thanks ;) They are all three shot with 50mm AF-D f/1.4 made in Japan version, the vintage look is PP ;)  8)

Nice work indeed.  Even nicer to think that these old timers (and Dr Klaus Schmit's projection lenses) will not end up in land fill any time soon.  Kudos to all for upgrading these old timers and repurposing them and keeping them relevant.

Because the NL crew fled out of Germany fast we did not make it to a brewery outlet. Instead I joined Werner for a visit to a Pharmacy, a "coffee pharmacy"

My main goal today was to handle the 500/5.6E PF
At the NPS press centre we had lots of time to try everything out and got a coffee as well.

First image is with the Df and 500PF

Second is Jakov testing the 500PF with his D750.
Df and 35/1.4 N
