The Netherlands and PhotoKina 2018
« on: September 27, 2018, 16:35:37 »
Following up on tradition, the NG Crew and consorts flock together here in the Netherlands shortly before the PhotoKina event. Jan Anne's farm is the natural centre for our activity.

The maestro himself is deeply concentrated.

Last night we started to gather an medication was needed,,, Keeping to the doctors orders, pills should be swallowed and flushed down with liquid  :o Also had some flight time with the Drone, and an aha moment happened when opening the files,,, a quick search on Wiki revealed the definition of 1" Inch sensor - As in Mavics marketing department definition,,,
The common 1" circular video camera tubes had a rectangular photo sensitive area about 16 mm diagonal, so a digital sensor with a 16 mm diagonal size was a 1" video tube equivalent. The name of a 1" digital sensor should more accurately be read as "one inch video camera tube equivalent" sensor. So not was I was looking for, but super nice controls a great experience as well, one can really have great fun with the little thing ;)

It's around the next corner. I have learnt to be patient. As soon as I get the invoice from nikon nordic I'll pay and the camera & gear should arrive shortly thereafter.

Grolsch used to be a great beer back in the 1980ies when it was still brewed according to the Bavarian Beer Cleanliness Act of 1615. They changed the recipee but it is still a very nice drink today

Of course there's some inevitable chipping. This time my 50-135/3.5 AIS.
It was a breeze for Dr. Lens this time. ;)

Nijmegen had the latest Kodak (sic) cameras on display. Even the model claiming to have 90X zoom from 22 to 1980 mm ....
