The barrel distortion seems to be pretty pronounced.  The lens could be designed with the premise of the digital correction.

Yes, it is very pronounced. Correct it in post and the vignetting is gone.

That's automatic for me shooting Nikon, no matter the lens, and LR makes it easy as long as the lens is in it's database.

The corners are fine when shooting jpg.

The Barrel Distortion Correction tool in Photo Ninja does not cure the problem when processing the RAW file.

It seems the camera is not supported by Photo Ninja.

Could you post the JPEG (straight out of the camera, just resized)?

The angle of view should be significantly different from that of the RAW image posted initially.

Correcting the distortion of the Leica Q files sometimes leads to visibly less sharp corners. Not exactly my cup of tea. Didn't the shop have a nice M10 with e.g. a 35mm Summilux in stock??  ;)

The recent incarnation of Photo Ninja deals easily with the Leica Q DNG format as such. However, one has to do a manual distortion correction if it is desired to get rid of the dark corners.
