Nikon "D" aperture ring discoloration
« on: August 21, 2018, 17:51:35 »
Hello, everyone!

I bought a used "D" Nikon lens with the "red" indication on the minimum aperture and lock discolored. Anyone have seen this issue? Is it common?

Thanks in advance.

I have seen this before. No harm done to lens functionality so no need to worry.

Yes, only cosmetic I assumed. But I was wondering if this is normal and what my have caused this. I think maybe it has been exposed to the sun for a long time?
