Sandworms busy at work on an Arctic tidal flat. Well, not exactly a Dune scene this as these creatures are 1/100 to 1/1000 the size of the fictitious sand worms created and so aptly described by Frank Herbert,  author of the Dune sci-fi novels. But the operational principle is pretty similar (in a reduced, down-to-earth context).

Also called Lugworms.

And last but not least, this proves the once drowned D500 now has come back to being fully operational. In lieu of a hair dryer, a towel drying rack can be just the accessory helping to revive a drowned camera.

I remember you recommending using a cooker oven for this task. The towel drying rack does seem a more cautious approach :-)

The hotel room didn't provide a cooker. Thus the towel rack was my only available option. I ran it at maximum heat and the rack spacers were scorchingly hot thus I found it prudent to wrap the camera in a thin scarf.

The railway-zone in the city center looks like a desert...

Very nice Paco with the OOF reflection of the dancers under the ever watchful eye of their teacher.

the vaulted ceiling does round the composition really nicely, Paco. Is this a cellar?

My daughter using our new Panasonic GX-9. Shot with D600 and Nikkor-P 10.5cm at f/4 (lens serviced by Ric Haw and AI modified by Marcel). This old lens can still perform (if i can focus it!)

[Edit - replaced picture, new one has toned down green!]

Roland: I feel the D600 can show green in a much more realistic way. Did something go wrong with the color profile?

Frank: this a jpg out of the camera, only resized. The picture control was set to vivid, which probably caused the over-the-top green (the grass was very green but not like that ...) After this shot I did change picture control to standard :o
