Ready to hunt
« on: July 17, 2018, 10:54:30 »
Fantails flit about catching small flying insects in mid air for which there mouths are ready.
I had never seen this until today.

this chubby little bird must obviously get its share of insects. Quite like the deep forest coloration and soft light of this image. Also, great isolation of subject with very clean diffused background. Lastly, you managed to get the no shortage of attitude/determination being announced. In Mongo's view, with this sort of image, it does not matter that the DOF is not sufficient to cover the whole subject - it actually works better that the periphery is diffused into its environment.  Nice job.
