Timothy - might be a variation of a pipelay vessel like this I photographed in Kalundborg, Denmark.

Yes a pipe layer - the "Ceona Amazon" ?

A "selfie" (well, sort of). The red car acts as a cylindrical lens thus it has an anamorphic distortion of the subject

Df, 24/1.8 Nikkor.
Nice selfie.
I like your cardigan :)

got up before dawn, had a shower took the fresh clothes my wife brought yesterday. What? No! A blue jeans? I never wear such stuff! And more: the buttonholes were torn, my underwear showed. Gosh! I went to the nurses and asked them for a sewing kit. They had sewing kits for sewing wounds! My athritic hurting hands ...

There I sat at six on Sunday morning sewing away the ugliest pair of trousers we own with wound repair kits. Absurd. But in worked! cowboy can go to church now!

Frank: be grateful you could *walk* to church, cowboy style or not.

Øiivnd: an excellent and pleasing demonstration of the capabilities one can coax from the little AW1.

Thanks Birna, it remains one of my most used cameras, and the AW 11.5-27mm has nothing be be ashamed of. In daily life it typically lives the bumpy ride in my bike pannier whenever there is room for it. The capture is a straight conversion in CNX2 without any additional adjustments other than a hair of resize sharpening.

I participated in a transgender event yesterday and of course only a small camera would fit my handbag. Thus I used the Nikon 1V1 all day with good results.

Great presentation of contrasting beauty and ugliness, or beauty and beauty maybe?!

There is a rather unusual ship that has been anchored off Umhlanga for the last few days, waiting to enter the harbour, I assume. It has a big wheel on top of a large tower, some kind of drilling rig perhaps, maybe someone can identify what kind of ship it is.

The shot was taken this morning, just before sunrise, the ship still had all it's lights on.

I am not into ship identification, but I can identify a great photo, if I see one. The Pier & the Wave. Just the right moment
