A "selfie" (well, sort of). The red car acts as a cylindrical lens thus it has an anamorphic distortion of the subject

Lost six kilos. all the charming softness makes way for muscles... feel a tad better the third day in a row .. hope the tides have changed finally after six weeks!

Frank, if only you lost the weight for the positive reason, I would envy you!  Hope your healthy and happy return from the hospital!

a friend brought two new books to read. both seem very promising. Pity pain hit me hard this morning at 3am much harder again. doctors still do not have a faint idea of what happens in my body...

There is a rather unusual ship that has been anchored off Umhlanga for the last few days, waiting to enter the harbour, I assume. It has a big wheel on top of a large tower, some kind of drilling rig perhaps, maybe someone can identify what kind of ship it is.

The shot was taken this morning, just before sunrise, the ship still had all it's lights on.

Timothy - might be a variation of a pipelay vessel like this I photographed in Kalundborg, Denmark.

Look at post #484

Tim, this is a fantastic perspective!

Lars, thank you for the explanation of this unique ship!

Thanks Akira  :)

Lars, yes I think you may be right, they are very similar. The big wheel is quite distinctive. Thanks for your reply.
